The Independence Chamber of Commerce invites you to explore this web site for information about the Independence area. Independence is on your way to or from Los Angeles, Mammoth Mt. Ski Area, Mono Lake and Reno.

You will also find about everything you need to know about lodging and recreational activities at the Information Center.

Come and enjoy the cool summer evenings, the beautiful sunsets and the beauty of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada Crest. Enjoy our historic museum or visit the Manzanar National Historic Site. For the more adventurous, you can camp in one of the local campgrounds, most of which include a year-round running mountain stream.
